The End?
When I arrive at the hideout, it appears as if I’m too late. Someone was here before me, and it looks like they got to the assassin first. I can still sense his life force though, so his captors must have taken him alive. The assassin will surely pay for allowing me to find, and eventually kill, the demon lord, but that does not concern me. On second thought maybe it does…I need him alive to unravel the mystery he left behind.
Seems like fate with her usual sense of irony wants me to save this wretched assassin and keep him breathing, at least for the time being. What happens after I get the information I need, well that’s another matter. The arduous task ahead of me seems laden with strife, but I am not averse to such things.
